I'm not entirely sure how this dark to light gradient was created. It might be that I re-dipped that edge in the glaze because I was patching up a missed edge. It might also be due to a part of the kiln that had an air leak during the reduction fire which allows more oxidation to leak in, causing an oxidation reaction. Amber glaze in reduction is a dark brown amber while in oxidation it is a light yellow, so this latter hypothesis makes more sense 8]
