I found a stigma of a flower in LA that had a fun shape I thought would make a great stamp! It looks like some kind of fossil 8]
This tray was glazed with celadon which turns a gray blue in reduction and yellow color in oxidation fire. Sometimes there are air leaks in parts of the kiln that cause bursts of oxidation fire throughout a reduction fire. This is likely what created the corner of yellow. I love that this created an almost ombre effect.
Firing: Reduction high fire
