For a couple of months, I was exploring how tall I could pull clay into a long egg-like shape. Generally, you start with a straight-walled cylinder and then shape the walls. So, the challenge is in pulling tall while preventing the clay from flaring out. You have to slow down the speed as you get taller. I puckered this vase to further emphasize the tapering look.
