This was one of the first vases I created when I began making pottery. I had just learned about a technique of cutting an almond shape out of almost leather-hard clay and pressing the edges of the almond cut out together to form an inward pinch in the body fo the clay.
Using the backs of different size paint brushes and a popsicle stick, I pressed into the outside of the clay to create the repeating dimples.
