I'm pretty sure I was trying to make a spherical shape here but it began to collapse when I flared out too soon near the bottom half where you see a hip. I flipped the bat upside down to hang the piece, allowing gravity to pull it back "up" from collapsing. Because it is so dry in Las Vegas, the clay dried enough to be safely stiff enough to flip back right side up within a few hours.
I actually love the shape of this piece even though it was an accident =)
There is a faint brick-like texture on the outside of the clay because I used a roller on it when it was leather dry before dimpling with the back of a paint brush.
Firing: Reduction highfire
Clay: Bmix
